據(jù)報(bào)道，童星出身的她憑借1989年上映的《暴劫梨花》獲得了第61屆奧斯卡最佳女主角獎(jiǎng)。1991年上映的《沉默的羔羊》使她獲得了第二座奧斯卡最佳女主角獎(jiǎng)杯。
