10月28日上午10時(shí)08分，一輛公交客車在重慶市萬(wàn)州區(qū)長(zhǎng)江二橋墜入江中，救援工作正緊張有序進(jìn)行。

Based on inquires and footage from surveillance cameras along the route, it was estimated that the bus was carrying more than 10 passengers at the time of the crash, local authorities said in a statement.

初步調(diào)查顯示，28日10時(shí)10分許，重慶萬(wàn)州區(qū)一輛22路公交車行至萬(wàn)州區(qū)長(zhǎng)江二橋時(shí)，突然越過中心實(shí)線（crossed the solid center line），闖入對(duì)向車道，與一輛正常行駛的小轎車（collided with an oncoming car）相撞后沖破護(hù)欄墜入長(zhǎng)江（broke through the guardrail and plunged into the Yangtze River）。

道路上的車道分界線一般分為白色虛線（broken white line）、白色實(shí)線（solid white line）、黃色實(shí)線（solid yellow line）。白色虛線是分隔同向車的，在安全的情況下可以變道（change lane）、超車（overtake）。白色實(shí)線也是分隔同向車的，不過不可變道。黃色實(shí)線是分隔不同向行駛的車的（ mark the center of a road used for two-way traffic），既可作分界線，也可做中心線，不可變道。

水下機(jī)器人先后兩次下水，最終確認(rèn)墜江車輛位于水下約68米處（the bus had sunk 68 meters below the surface），蛙人救援隊(duì)、吊船（salvage lifting vessel）等專業(yè)打撈力量正全力開展工作。

目前，搜救船正在車輛墜江水域進(jìn)行掃測(cè)，待車輛位置精確定位后，將根據(jù)打撈方案，派潛水員（professional divers）到水下定位起吊。

While the identities of the two bodies are being verified, the city government has organized community workers to interview neighborhoods to find out identities of possible victims.
