>Too fat for that donkey
Greece has banned obese tourists from riding donkeys after animal rights campaigners said the creatures were being left with spinal injuries and open wounds. After images of donkeys climbing the narrow steps of the Greek island of Santorini laden down by large holidaymakers hit the headlines worldwide, lawmakers in the country have now pledged to do more to help the animals. The Greek Ministry of Rural Development and Food has published a new set of regulations regarding donkeys' well-being. These state that donkeys giving tourists rides in Santorini should not carry any loads heavier than 100 kg or one fifth of their weight.

>Trick-or-treat cutoff age
How old is too old to go trick-or-treating? As Halloween approaches, Chesapeake, Virginia says the answer to that question is anyone over the age of 12. City officials recently announced that doorbell-ringing candy seekers over the age of 12 could face a misdemeanor charge, up to six months in jail, and $25 to $100 fines. They're far from alone: nine towns in Virginia have make it illegal for teens to trick-or-treat. Officials in Meridian, Mississippi, Bishopville, South Carolina, and Boonsboro, Maryland, also have set the cutoff age at 12. Officials say they won't be actively looking to catch teenage trick-or-treaters in the act. The age limits, along with measures like curfews, are part of a broader push to limit pranks and vandalism.

>Work less, live longer
Working long hours every week could be bad for your health. Full and part-time employees in the US work an average of 40-hours a week, according to 2017 data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Working more than that has been linked to negative changes to your health, while working fewer hours each week could help make you healthier, according to research from NYU Langone Health. Four ways a shorter workweek could help improve your health are:

1. Less stress

A study published in the Journal Psychological Medicine in 2011 found that working more than 55-hours per week was associated with symptoms of anxiety and depression among people ages 44 to 66 who were employed full-time. Those who worked less had a lower risk of those symptoms.

2. Sleep more

A lack of sleep may lead to poor performance, memory and difficulty processing information. Getting the right amount of sleep can improve your health.

3. Improve your heart health

Working less could lower the risk of coronary heart disease among adults.

4. Spend more time with loved ones

>Children need to play more
Children will lack the work skills they need in the future because they are not spending enough time playing, a Lego executive has warned. John Goodwin, head of Lego's charitable arm the Lego Foundation, says less time in the classroom and more time playing is the solution. If not, he believes companies will find it increasingly difficult to hire the type of staff they need: "Critical thinking and problem solving starts in early childhood development. It's where the foundations are laid." Dr Peter Gray, a US psychologist and professor at Boston College, has argued that the fact children play less has led to an increase in childhood mental disorders including anxiety and depression, as well as a decline in empathy.
