這一大家子人要拍全家?？?，結(jié)果每個(gè)人“滿身泥漿”，卻又是滿臉笑容，這是為什么呢？

1. go nuts

口語(yǔ)里一般說(shuō)的是go nuts，這里說(shuō)get nuts是菲爾指了指自己上衣里的堅(jiān)果。

go nuts的意思是大發(fā)雷霆，暴跳如雷。

My sister will go nuts when she finds out I crashed her car.

要是我姐姐發(fā)現(xiàn)我弄壞了她的車，她會(huì)氣得發(fā)瘋的。

2. stand out

stand out第一個(gè)意思是“顯眼，突出”，因?yàn)榉茽柺侨椅ㄒ灰粋€(gè)沒穿白褲子的人，所以這里克萊爾說(shuō)他stand out。這個(gè)短語(yǔ)還形容“出眾”。

We had lots of good applicants for the job, but one stood out from the rest.

我們這個(gè)職位有很多不錯(cuò)的申請(qǐng)者，但有一個(gè)人相當(dāng)出眾。

3. be uptight with

▲克萊爾和米奇爾打打鬧鬧爭(zhēng)執(zhí)不下。

uptight的意思是“緊張的；焦慮不安的”，通常和about搭配，形容感到心情焦躁。

Don't get uptight about the exam - just do your best.

對(duì)待考試不要太緊張——盡力而為吧。

★bunch可以表示“串；束；扎”，比如一束花就是a bunch of flowers；可以形容“一幫人”，一幫笨蛋就是a bunch of jerks。
