2月11日，北京北控外援、“北京爺們”馬布里結(jié)束了自己長(zhǎng)達(dá)22年的職業(yè)生涯，在本賽季CBA常規(guī)賽最后一輪比賽后正式退役。

Former NBA star Stephon Marbury, who plays for the CBA's Beijing Fly Dragons, ends his professional career Sunday after the China Basketball Association wrapped up its regular season.
前美職籃球星、 北京北控翱龍外援馬布里在本賽季CBA常規(guī)賽最后一輪比賽后結(jié)束了自己的職業(yè)生涯。

“退役”的說法有很多，比如，retire from、hang up one's sneakers或者上面例句中的end one's professional career，馬布里是籃球運(yùn)動(dòng)員，所以他退役就可以說Stephon Marbury retires from basketball。

馬布里說：

It's been a blessing to see how basketball has continued to grow and develop in this country in the past nine years. I hope my spirit and the way how I played the game can affect the younger generation.
過去的九年間，看到籃球運(yùn)動(dòng)在這個(gè)國(guó)家越來越好，是一種福氣。我希望我的精神和打籃球的方式能影響到年輕的一代。

In the future I'll give my best and my love for the game to the younger generation here in China. That's my obligation.
未來，我會(huì)把我最好的以及我對(duì)籃球的熱愛都先獻(xiàn)給中國(guó)的年輕一代。這是我的義務(wù)。

2月11日零點(diǎn)，馬布里在自己的微博上發(fā)文，表示“9”這個(gè)數(shù)字代表圓滿和永恒：

Since Nine is the highest single-digit number in base ten, it stands for completeness and eternity. 9 teams allowed me to play all over the globe. #FinalGame# has 9 letters. When we do the math it’s complete. It was written!
9是10以內(nèi)的單位數(shù)中最高的一個(gè)數(shù)字，代表圓滿和永恒。9支球隊(duì)讓我打遍了全世界?！案鎰e賽”（FinalGame）有9個(gè)字母。在數(shù)學(xué)題里，9就是完成的意思。這是命中注定的！

很多粉絲都在這條微博下面留言，表達(dá)對(duì)“馬政委”的留戀之情：

1996年，馬布里第四順位被NBA密爾沃基雄鹿選中，隨后輾轉(zhuǎn)明尼蘇達(dá)森林狼、紐約尼克斯、波士頓凱爾特人等球隊(duì)。效力NBA的13個(gè)賽季中，馬布里場(chǎng)均得到19.3分、7.6次助攻（assists）、3個(gè)籃板（(rebounds）和1.2次搶斷（steals），并在2001年和2003年兩度入選全明星（earning two All-Star selections）。

2010年馬布里來到中國(guó)打球，先后效力過山西隊(duì)和佛山隊(duì)，于2011年加盟北京隊(duì)。在北京首鋼，馬布里迎來了CBA的輝煌，四年內(nèi)三次帶領(lǐng)球隊(duì)問鼎總冠軍（win three CBA crowns），并在2014-2015賽季包攬常規(guī)賽（regular season）、全明星賽（All-Star Game）和總決賽（finals）MVP。
