President Xi Jinping and visiting US President Donald Trump agreed on maintaining the strategic leading role of head-of-state diplomacy in developing bilateral relations.
國(guó)家主席習(xí)近平與來訪的美國(guó)總統(tǒng)特朗普同意繼續(xù)發(fā)揮元首外交對(duì)兩國(guó)關(guān)系的戰(zhàn)略引領(lǐng)作用。

雙方認(rèn)為，今年以來中美關(guān)系取得重要進(jìn)展。中美關(guān)系事關(guān)兩國(guó)人民福祉，也關(guān)乎世界的和平、穩(wěn)定、繁榮（China-US relations concern not only the well-being of both peoples, but also world peace, prosperity and stability）。合作是中美兩國(guó)唯一正確選擇（cooperation is the only viable choice for China and the United States），共贏才能通向更好未來。

雙方同意，加強(qiáng)兩國(guó)高層及各級(jí)別交往（increase exchanges at various levels），充分發(fā)揮4個(gè)高級(jí)別對(duì)話機(jī)制作用（give a full play to the four high-level dialogue mechanisms），拓展經(jīng)貿(mào)、兩軍、執(zhí)法、人文等領(lǐng)域交流合作，加強(qiáng)在重大國(guó)際和地區(qū)問題上的溝通和協(xié)調(diào)（enhance communication and coordination on major international and regional issues），推動(dòng)中美關(guān)系得到更大發(fā)展。

習(xí)近平主席表示：

雙方要按照兩國(guó)元首確定的方向，規(guī)劃中美關(guān)系發(fā)展路線圖，就重大敏感問題增信釋疑。
Both sides should draw the future roadmap for the development of China-US ties, and increase trust and defuse doubts on major and sensitive issues in line with the goal set by the heads of state.
