Notes: 關(guān)于什么即將到來有很多種表達(dá)，例如之前介紹過的on the way, near at hand, around the corner，這里有個新的短語draw near，它表示靠近，鄰近。例如：

The Winter Holiday is drawing near.
寒假就快到了。

His car drew near and we should go.
他把車開過來了，我們該走了。

hold a celebration表示舉行慶?；顒?，再例如：

Let’s hold a celebration to welcome the new year.
讓我們舉行個迎新年慶?；顒影?。

Notes: resolution在這里的意義為“決心，決定”；New Year’s resolutions指“新年愿望”；make New Year’s resolutions指“制定新年計劃，許新年愿望”。再如：

It’s New Year’s Eve. Let’s make several resolutions for the coming year.
明天就是新年了，讓我們許下新年愿望吧！
