FIFA聲稱自身也是腐敗個(gè)人的受害者(the victim of corrupt individuals),有權(quán)就腐敗丑聞(corrupt scandal)導(dǎo)致的FIFA品牌、信譽(yù)和商務(wù)關(guān)系(FIFA's brand, reputation and business relationships)方面的損失要求賠償。
FIFA主席因凡蒂諾承諾:"國際足聯(lián)無論耗費(fèi)多長時(shí)間都一定會(huì)盡全力追回這些贓款(be determined to get the bribe money back no matter how long it takes),并將之作為發(fā)展和推廣足球運(yùn)動(dòng)的資金(the fund for the development and promotion of the game)。"
