Queen of Halloween
Well I hope everyone had a happy Halloween because supermodel Heidi Klum sure did. Klum is the queen of Halloween and throws the best Halloween party in New York City. By the way Heidi, I didn't get my invitation… Must have gotten mixed up in the mail. Anyways, celebrity-A-listers like designer Marc Bouwer, actor Eric West, singer Nicole Scherzinger, even Jennifer Lopez showed up. And just when we thought J-Lo took the cake for best dressed, Heidi Klum showed up and stole the show. Klum dressed up as Jessica Rabbit, and explained that it took most of the day to put the costume on — from about noon until her arrival at the party — and that it takes about an hour and a half to take it off. If only she was still with her ex-husband Seal, she could have had some help taking it off. And if only I got my invitation in the mail… Next year Heidi, next year.
Super dogs
In other news, Chinese scientists have created two super dogs, yes that's right super dogs genetically engineered to be twice as strong as they would be naturally. The two modified dogs are beagles named Hercules and Tiangou, and whatever these scientists did allowed them to grow unnaturally bigger, more muscular, and stronger. The Chinese scientists won't be satisfied until the two super dogs have a baby super dog saying, "The next step is to see whether or not the dogs can pass on the mutation to future generations." Ummm right… good luck with that.
Smoking!
In America, newly appointed Speaker of the White House Paul Ryan is finally settling into his new role. It's been about a month since he took over John Boehner's position, and says he wants to have more of a participatory process in the White House. But in order to do that, he has to really implement an "out with the old, in with the new formula." There's just one thing stopping him from doing that. And that’s removing the odor from Mr. Boehner's cigarettes in his new office. Staffers on Ryan's team are working day and night trying to eliminate cigarette smell the previous Speaker left behind. But you can't blame Mr. Boehner for throwing one last party in his White House office before saying goodbye, it's a stressful job, the cigarettes never lie!
