職工“探親假”名存實(shí)亡

記者近日調(diào)查發(fā)現(xiàn),國(guó)務(wù)院關(guān)于職工探親待遇的規(guī)定“名存實(shí)亡”,很多人“聽都沒(méi)聽過(guò)”。

Since 1981, a regulation of the State Council has granted domestic workers paid leave to visit their families once a year if they live far from parents or spouse. However, some enterprises simply ignore the right of workers to paid leave, the family reunion leave included.
自1981年起,國(guó)務(wù)院規(guī)定,如果職工父母或配偶居住較遠(yuǎn),職工每年可以享受一次帶薪探親假。然而,部分企業(yè)直接無(wú)視職工帶薪休假的權(quán)益,其中包括探親假。
“探親假”可以用family reunion leave表示,休假事由是,與配偶或父母不住在一起,又不能在公休假日(public holidays)團(tuán)聚。Reunion表示團(tuán)圓、重逢,如全家團(tuán)圓(family reunion),團(tuán)圓飯(family reunion dinner)。Leave作名詞可表示休假,如帶薪休假(paid leave),病假(sick leave),產(chǎn)假(maternity leave),育嬰假(parental leave)。
在現(xiàn)實(shí)生活中,休探親假?zèng)]那么容易。一份報(bào)告顯示,很多人“聽都沒(méi)聽過(guò)”(have never heard of)探親假。部分雇主認(rèn)為,探親假太長(zhǎng),工作可能做不完(might hurt productivity)。很多員工因?yàn)閾?dān)心丟飯碗(fear losing their jobs)而不敢請(qǐng)假(dare not ask for the leave)探親。專家呼吁加強(qiáng)監(jiān)管(call for better supervision)以保障職工合法權(quán)益(protect workers' legal rights)。
