習(xí)近平在主持政治局集體學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)強(qiáng)調(diào)，中國(guó)到了工業(yè)反哺農(nóng)業(yè)、城市支持農(nóng)村的發(fā)展階段。

On April 30, top leader Xi Jinping presided over a session of the Communist Party of China Central Committee's Political Bureau on improving the mechanisms and institutions for the integrated development of urban and rural areas. During the session, Xi said to meet the needs of China's future development, the country should regard industry nurturing agriculture and cities supporting countryside as long-term guiding principles.

國(guó)家主席習(xí)近平主持了中共中央政治局4月30日就健全城鄉(xiāng)發(fā)展一體化體制機(jī)制進(jìn)行的集體學(xué)習(xí)。會(huì)議中習(xí)近平強(qiáng)調(diào)，為了滿足中國(guó)未來(lái)發(fā)展需要，需要將工業(yè)反哺農(nóng)業(yè)、城市支持農(nóng)村視作長(zhǎng)期指導(dǎo)原則。

“工業(yè)反哺農(nóng)業(yè)”可以用industry nurturing agriculture表示，反哺是一個(gè)仿生概念，這里借用反哺概念，是為了表明在長(zhǎng)期接受農(nóng)業(yè)哺育后，工業(yè)已“長(zhǎng)成”，應(yīng)該回報(bào)農(nóng)業(yè)。這里的nurture是“養(yǎng)育、培育、支持”的意思。

會(huì)議中，習(xí)近平強(qiáng)調(diào)中國(guó)要在協(xié)調(diào)城鄉(xiāng)發(fā)展上取得重大突破（make breakthroughs on coordinated development between urban and rural areas），讓廣大農(nóng)民平等參與改革發(fā)展進(jìn)程（participate in the country's development on an equal footing）、共享經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)的成果（share the fruits of economic growth），形成城鄉(xiāng)一體化發(fā)展（integrated urban-rural development）新格局。

為了建成小康社會(huì)（a moderately prosperous society），最困難的任務(wù)在于發(fā)展農(nóng)村地區(qū)，習(xí)近平要求推進(jìn)農(nóng)業(yè)現(xiàn)代化（advance agricultural modernization），保障農(nóng)民食品安全，提高農(nóng)民收入。
