職業(yè)發(fā)展前景，聽起來(lái)是個(gè)挺虛的說(shuō)法，其實(shí)還是包含很多有實(shí)際意義的因素的。所以，很多招聘單位才會(huì)在面試時(shí)極力描繪光明的職業(yè)前景，好吸引優(yōu)秀的人才到崗。今天要說(shuō)的詞，就跟職業(yè)前景有關(guān)。

Career veneer  refers to the thin layer of potential for career advancement, increase in pay and future opportunities that an employer paints on your job to convince you that the future holds something more than you are currently experiencing.

“職業(yè)虛景”指的是老板為你的工作描繪出的那一層薄薄的發(fā)展前景，可能會(huì)包括職業(yè)升遷、薪水增長(zhǎng)以及更多發(fā)展機(jī)會(huì)等，這樣描繪的目的是為了讓你相信未來(lái)會(huì)比現(xiàn)在更好。
