1. save the day(反敗為勝、轉(zhuǎn)危為安)
In the final set of the match, our team lost the first five games, but later saved the day by winning the last consecutive seven ones.

2. save one's bacon/neck/skin(保命)
bacon用來表達生命，據(jù)說是因為以前窮人家往往無肉可吃，可以保存很久的培根是他們最重要的肉食來源，因此被視作生命般珍貴。

3. save face(保全面子)
In order to save my parents' face, I have to tell a white lie.

4. save the situation(挽救情勢、渡過難關(guān))
We are giving ground under the fierce attacks. Reinforcements are needed immediately to save the situation.
