1. Small beer
Compared to all that it had happened to him recently, this latest crisis seemed fairly small beer.(比起最近發(fā)生在他身上的事,這場(chǎng)危機(jī)算不得什么。)
2. With a grain/pinch of salt
He seems confident, but you should take what he says with a grain of salt.(他看著挺自信,不過(guò)他說(shuō)的話你可不能全信。)
3. A treat
Let's go out to dinner. I'll treat. The food went down a treat. ?/p>
4. Sweet tooth
去看牙醫(yī),如果醫(yī)生問(wèn)你:“Do you have a sweet tooth?”
5. Turn the tables
You say your boyfriend's been cheating on you? Why don't you turn the tables on him and start going out with someone else.(你說(shuō)你的男友對(duì)你不忠?
