課堂討論時,公司開會brainstorming時,同學(xué)聚會爭論某個問題時,都需要我們適時表達(dá)自己的意見。怎么樣表達(dá)才能讓別人聽到并注意到呢?昨天,我們說了表達(dá)自己意見的不同方式。今天,我們來說說討論時如何提出疑問。
4. 疑惑追問
Just to clarify,... 我想確認(rèn)一下...
May I ask a follow-up question? 我能就你說的問個問題嗎?
Could you say more (about it)? 你能多解釋一下嗎?
Could you elaborate on this? 你能詳細(xì)解釋一下嗎?
上述的句子都是在聽了別人的看法之后,不確定自己是否理解正確,所以追問,讓別人詳細(xì)解釋一下。
5. 會議報告、演講之后提問
That's an amazing model/useful concept, but it occurred to me that [this/something] might also play a role....Have you considered ...?
Thanks for your talk. I completely agree with your conclusion, but as I'm sure you're aware, Dr. XX explains this in a different way, and I was wondering if you could address her theory.
這種提問的開場白多是肯定之前報告和演講的意義,然后再提出自己的問題。
"but as I'm sure you're aware"完全是給對方一個臺階下,可能那個理論他根本沒有考慮過。但是如果對方是比較資深的,我們也需要客套一下。
6. 尋求幫助
I was wondering if I could talk to you about...
I was hoping that if I could talk to you about...
I was wondering if it'd be possible that you...
上述句子均表示:不知我是否可用跟您請教.../您可否...
這種句式一般都是用過去時,在email里面也是如此。而且,雖然was wondering/hoping這種進(jìn)行時看起來很怪,但是用法就是這樣子的
Sorry to bother you, Professor X.... XX教授,抱歉打擾您。
I realize this is an unusual request... 我知道這樣的要求有些不合常理。
I realize that you are very busy... 我知道您很忙。
Thanks for your time.謝謝您抽出寶貴時間。
Thanks in advance for your help.先謝謝您的幫助
It would be great if you could... 如果您能夠...那就太好了。(這個是最常用的,尤其是email里面)
