全國人大常委會27日開始審議刑法修正案(九)草案。此次刑法修改的重點之一是逐步減少適用死刑罪名，草案擬對集資詐騙罪等9個罪的刑罰規(guī)定作出調(diào)整，取消死刑。

The Standing Committee of the National People's Congress is considering reducing by nine the number of crimes subject to the death penalty through revising the Criminal Law.

全國人大常委會擬通過《刑法》修正案減少九個適用死刑的罪名。

Crimes subject to the death penalty就是“適用死刑的罪名”，報道中簡稱“死刑罪名”。此次刑法修改擬取消的9個死刑罪名分別是：走私武器、彈藥罪（smuggling weapons and ammunition）、走私核材料罪（smuggling nuclear materials）、走私假幣罪（smuggling fake banknotes）、偽造貨幣罪（counterfeiting banknotes）、集資詐騙罪（collecting funds through fraud）、組織賣淫罪（organizing prostitutes）、強迫賣淫罪（forcing prostitution）、阻礙執(zhí)行軍事職務(wù)罪（hindering the enforcement of military duties）、戰(zhàn)時造謠惑眾罪（spreading rumors during wartime）。
