The death toll from a factory blast in east China's Jiangsu Province rose to 75 on Monday as a senior official in charge of the country's work safety said "very serious dereliction of duty" was behind the accident.

本周一，江蘇（昆山）工廠爆炸導(dǎo)致的死亡人數(shù)已上升至75人，安監(jiān)總局局長表示該事故屬于“重大責(zé)任事故”。

江蘇昆山工廠的粉塵爆炸（dust explosion）被認(rèn)定為“重大責(zé)任事故”（very serious dereliction of duty），原因為粉塵濃度超標(biāo)（excessive concentration of dust），遇到火源發(fā)生爆炸。

該事故同時也暴露了工廠在工人權(quán)益保護(hù)（protection of workers' rights）和安全生產(chǎn)（work safety）方面執(zhí)行不力。工廠沒有對工人進(jìn)行安全培訓(xùn)，沒有按規(guī)定配備阻燃、防靜電勞保用品；違反勞動法規(guī)，超時組織作業(yè)。
