話說一半的“對(duì)話藍(lán)球”

大家都很討厭那些說話說一半,吊起別人胃口,然后各種追問都不回答的那種人。這種討厭的行為就是Conversational Blue Balls(對(duì)話藍(lán)球)。
When someone brings up a topic when talking but immediately drops it and refuses to switch back to the dropped topic, leaving the other hanging in the middle of a conversation. This annoying thing is called “Conversational Blue Balls”.
當(dāng)某個(gè)人談話間提到某個(gè)話題而忽然又轉(zhuǎn)換話題避而不談剛才的話題,把對(duì)方的胃口吊在那里。這種討厭的事就是“對(duì)話藍(lán)球”。(注意是藍(lán)球不是籃球哦)
Here is an example of Conversational Blue Balls:
"Goodness, did you hear about what happened?"
"What happened?"
"Anyways, I'm gonna go."
"Wait, what happened?"
"Oh, don't worry about it."
看一個(gè)“對(duì)話藍(lán)球”的例子:
“老天啊,你聽說發(fā)生的事了嗎?”
“發(fā)生了什么事?”
“沒什么,我得走了。”
“等等,發(fā)生什么了?”
“哦,別管那個(gè)了?!?/p>
Dude, Jane TOTALLY gave me Conversational Blueballs yesterday. We were on AIM and she asked if I had heard about the party and she never answered when I asked about it.
老兄,簡(jiǎn)昨天真是給了我一個(gè)“對(duì)話籃球”。我們?cè)贏IM上聊天時(shí)她問我有沒有聽說過關(guān)于派對(duì)的事,我說沒有,然后我問她派對(duì)的事她再也不回答我了。
