Screen sightedness refers to myopia caused by too much time spent indoors staring at small screens.

Screen sightedness指長時(shí)間待在室內(nèi)盯著小屏幕看而導(dǎo)致的近視，即“屏幕近視”。

British researchers coined the problem “screen sighted,” referring to a 35 percent increase in nearsightedness since the launch of smartphones in 1997. They believe smartphones are a cause, and warn that the problem will only get worse.(Source: Word Spy)

英國研究人員最先提出“屏幕近視”這一問題，并指出自1997年智能手機(jī)問世以來，近視現(xiàn)象增加了35%。他們認(rèn)為智能手機(jī)是導(dǎo)致屏幕近視的主要原因，并警告稱這一問題只會(huì)愈發(fā)嚴(yán)重。
