The pictures have been released ahead of the opening of Equus, a
controversial Peter Shaffer play showing at London's Gielgud Theatre from
next month.
Radcliffe,17, plays a troubled stablehand who one night blinds six horses
with a hoofpick.
He features in numerous nude scenes with co-star Joanne Christie, the
woman in the publicity shots.
The UK's Daily Mail reports that Harry Potter fan sites have received a
lot of emails from parents.
"We as parents feel Daniel should not appear nude. Our nine-year-old
son looks up to him as a role model. We are very disappointed and will
avoid the future movies he makes," one parent wrote.
Another said: "I am curious as to how and why his parents said this was
okay."
Some of his younger fans, however, are impressed with Radcliffe's tough
new look.
"I am completely stunned by these pix," wrote Ginny Potter on fan site
danradcliffe.co.uk.

哈利·波特的扮演者丹尼爾·雷德克利弗新劇的一組宣傳照日前被公布。其中一張照片是赤裸著上身的雷德克利弗被一個(gè)赤裸的女人擁抱著，另一張是雷德克利弗靠在一大堆干草旁，注視著那個(gè)赤裸的女人，還有一張是上身赤裸的他在一匹白馬前擺了個(gè)姿勢。
這些宣傳照在丹尼爾的新劇《戀馬狂》首映之前被公布于眾。這部受到爭議的話劇由彼得·夏弗爾擔(dān)任編劇，將于下月在倫敦吉爾吉德劇院上映。
今年17歲的雷德克利弗在劇中飾演一個(gè)不安分的馬仔，有一天晚上他用蹄簽戳瞎了六匹馬的眼睛。
在劇中，他和宣傳照中的女演員喬安娜·克麗斯汀有很多裸露的鏡頭。
據(jù)英國《每日郵報(bào)》報(bào)道，哈利·波特迷網(wǎng)站已經(jīng)收到了很多家長們發(fā)來的郵件。
其中一位家長這樣寫道：“作為家長，我們認(rèn)為丹尼爾不應(yīng)該演裸戲。我們九歲的兒子將他視為偶像，很崇拜他。我們很失望，以后不會(huì)再看他演的電影了。”
另一位說道：“我很納悶丹尼爾的父母怎么會(huì)同意他演那樣的戲?！?
然而，丹尼爾的性感新造型則給他的一些年輕影迷們留下了深刻的印象。
