2007. | The world's first auction targeted
exclusively at women made more than 250,000 pounds (380,000 euros, 493,000
dollars) at Bonham's auction house in London, a spokeswoman said.
"What Women Want" was made up of over 300 lots including clothes,
jewellery, works of art and furniture, although the most expensive
individual sale was of a 1970 blue Mercedes convertible car, which sold for 27,600
pounds.
"More than half of the lots have been sold. We are really pleased with
the results and 80 percent of the people in the room were women," a
Bonhams spokeswoman told reporters.
But there were no takers for some of the lots at the auction, such as a
Smart car formerly owned by British pop star Robbie Williams, which had a
10,000 pound price tag.
"Definitely we are looking forward to repeating it in London next year
after tailoring the catalogue with what works well," added the
spokeswoman.
She added that Bonhams' offices in Los Angeles and New York would be
holding similar sales in future.

這場(chǎng)名為“女人為誰(shuí)而狂”的拍賣(mài)會(huì)共有衣服、珠寶、工藝品、家具等300多件拍賣(mài)品。其中最昂貴的單件賣(mài)品是一輛1970年的藍(lán)色奔馳活頂轎車(chē)，它以27600英鎊的價(jià)格被賣(mài)出。
邦漢姆拍賣(mài)行的女發(fā)言人在接受記者采訪(fǎng)時(shí)說(shuō)：“一半以上的物品都被賣(mài)出，我們真的很高興，而且拍賣(mài)會(huì)上80％的來(lái)客都是女性。”
但有些物品則無(wú)人問(wèn)津，比如，英國(guó)流行歌星羅比·威廉姆斯開(kāi)過(guò)的一輛標(biāo)價(jià)為1萬(wàn)英鎊的Smart轎車(chē)。
這位女發(fā)言人說(shuō)：“我們希望明年還能在倫敦舉辦這個(gè)拍賣(mài)會(huì)，不過(guò)我們得多提供一些暢銷(xiāo)的物品?！?
她說(shuō)，邦漢姆拍賣(mài)行在洛杉磯和紐約的分行今后也會(huì)舉行類(lèi)似的拍賣(mài)。
