下面這則新聞,可能會(huì)令老師、家長(zhǎng)甚至性教育家大吃一驚。一項(xiàng)在北京某區(qū)所做的調(diào)查顯示,北京的中學(xué)生遠(yuǎn)比社會(huì)所想象的“開(kāi)放”:一半以上的受訪學(xué)生認(rèn)為“一夜情”沒(méi)什么錯(cuò),6.2%的人承認(rèn)他們有過(guò)性行為。

報(bào)道中的“one-night
stand”就是“一夜情”,或者“露水之歡”。該短語(yǔ)常用來(lái)比喻“結(jié)合”并非為求天長(zhǎng)地久,通常是雙方在不十分了解的前提下的“性行為”,當(dāng)事人也不用為對(duì)方負(fù)責(zé)。
“One-night stand”原指巡回演出劇團(tuán)在某地“一夜的駐留”,“stand”本意指“停留演出,停留演出劇場(chǎng)”,如:to open a
four-week stand(為期4周的停留演出)。隨著時(shí)間的推移,俚語(yǔ)中常用“one-night stand”來(lái)比喻隨風(fēng)而逝的“愛(ài)”。
看下面一個(gè)例句:I am hoping for a lasting relation, not just one-night
stand.(我希望擁有持久的關(guān)系,而不是一夜情。)
