有調(diào)查顯示,國內(nèi)40%優(yōu)秀人才都流向了跨國公司,這不能不說是國內(nèi)研發(fā)機構(gòu)一大損失。不過,雖然跨國公司在華機構(gòu)“挖”了中國本土企業(yè)人才資源的“墻角”,但從長遠來講,這有利于減少中國人才流失海外。

報道中的“brain drain”指的是“人才因向有利的職業(yè)環(huán)境流動而引起(欠發(fā)達地區(qū))的智囊枯竭”,即我們常說的“人才流失”。
“Brain”在此代指“高智商人才”,“drain”原意指“枯竭、干涸”,短語“brain drain”形象表達了本土人才外流后的尷尬處境。
與“brain drain”(人才外流)相對應(yīng)的是brain gain(人才引進)。此外,仿擬“brain drain”,“brown
drain”常用來喻指“勞工外流”。
