相對(duì)于“奧運(yùn)會(huì)”，了解“殘奧會(huì)”的人并不多?！皻垔W會(huì)”原是為“脊髓病患者”舉行的運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)，由圖片可知，其相應(yīng)的英文表達(dá)是：the
Paralympic
Games。很明顯，paralympic由詞綴para-（在……一旁，在……旁邊）和-(O)lympic（奧林匹克）合成而來(lái)，它延續(xù)了奧林匹克團(tuán)結(jié)友愛(ài)、公平競(jìng)爭(zhēng)的精神，同時(shí)又充分表達(dá)了奧運(yùn)會(huì)和殘奧會(huì)平等共存的關(guān)系。
