Words and phrases
1. Your words cut
rather deeply :
“你的話真的很傷人”。
Cut原意指“切、割、砍”，此處引申為“你的話令我‘心如刀割’”。
2. They're just some other lies
:“這只不過(guò)又是謊言?！?BR>
口語(yǔ)中，我們可注意短語(yǔ)some other的用法，比如，拒絕見(jiàn)面的推托之辭“We can
meet some other time.”（我們改天再見(jiàn)吧。）
3. a couple:
這里可不是指一對(duì)夫婦，而是“幾個(gè)人”
4. But somehow it gets to you: 這句話有兩種理解：
1〉“但不知怎么著你還是知道了（這些秘密）”
由于前句說(shuō)“我真不知為什么，你總想知道我所有的秘密”，所以此處可理解為“你還是探到了我告訴給朋友的秘密”。不過(guò)，若這樣，it在此就應(yīng)指代“secrets”，似乎不妥。
2〉“但不知怎么著卻惹了你”
短語(yǔ)get
to sb.在口語(yǔ)中常用來(lái)形容“惹怒某人，影響某人”，如Her constant nagging is beginning to get
to
him.（她不停地嘮叨，惹得他生氣起來(lái)。）在歌中，it可理解為“告訴朋友秘密這件事”，由此，“但不知怎么著卻惹了你”更符合歌者的原意。
4. And I swear you'll experience that some
day : “我發(fā)誓總有一天你會(huì)嘗到同樣的滋味。”
5. kinda: kind
of的縮略形式，在前幾首歌里如“Any man of mine”，我們已見(jiàn)過(guò)類似的表達(dá)。
6. You may think
that it's all forgotten:
“也許你想當(dāng)什么事都沒(méi)有發(fā)生過(guò)”
這句話日常生活中肯定用得到，尤其當(dāng)男孩子認(rèn)錯(cuò)不徹底時(shí)，女友十有八九會(huì)這么說(shuō)。
