High-level
senior officials have been targeted for a new credit card issued by
Minsheng Bank that carries a monthly overdraft of three million yuan, 60
times the current maximum prescribed by regulations.
In defense of their "Diamond Credit Card" service, the bank said this
type of credit cards is mainly designed for the upper classes people like
celebrities, business tycoons and senior officials, but denied it singled
out officials above the rank of vice minister as its targeted clients.
在報(bào)道中,overdraft 最為準(zhǔn)確的釋義是:the maximum amount of credit extended to a
customer(銀行透支給客戶的最大限額)。Overdraft實(shí)際上由over和draft合成而來,詞綴over指“to exceed or
demand draft(即期匯票);He has got money from China to overseas by
He has a huge overdraft to pay off.
Your bank account was
overdrawn to the extent of 10, 000
