3月27日，國家版權(quán)局、海關(guān)總署等有關(guān)部門就聯(lián)合加強知識產(chǎn)權(quán)行政執(zhí)法等問題舉行了發(fā)布會。國家版權(quán)局副局長閻曉宏說，打擊知識產(chǎn)權(quán)犯罪不可能一蹴而就，但政府的諸多努力和措施已頗見成效，知識產(chǎn)權(quán)保護正穩(wěn)步取得進展。

speed up the process, a top copyright official pledged yesterday in Beijing. The
government has been resolute, and made
headway, in cracking down on infringements and piracy of laser

報道中的make headway是個固定搭配，指“取得進展”，其近義詞組如：make progress，make an improvement，get
ahead。
Headway原屬于航海詞匯，指“前后兩船之間的距離”，后引申為輪船或火車的運行速度。舉兩個例子：The headway between each bus
is fixed at three minutes.（每兩班公共汽車之間的時距定為3分鐘。）；Little headway has been made in
educational reform.（教育改革幾乎沒有進展。）
