常被用來表示“(社交集會、比賽等)開始、序幕”,報道中的kickoff正是此意。例如:The dance marked the kickoff of
the charity's fund drive.(舞會標(biāo)志著該慈善機構(gòu)募集基金運動的開始。)
kickoff的動詞形式是kick off。如:An increase in oil price increase would kick
